Annoying behavior in detailed mode

I'm previewing close to 100 hundred clips from a wedding I shot last weekend and I need to be in detailed mode in the project media window so I can see, precisely, the details of the file. The problem is that it has this really annoying behavior when I double click on the file to open in the trimmer, instead of opening the file it goes into name change mode like when you press F2. In Windows Explorer this behavior is similar, except that if you double click fast on the file it still opens the file, and even if it went into name change mode, clicking on the icon to the left of the name takes it out of this mode and opens the file. In Vegas double clicking on the icon still makes it go into name change mode, which is very annoying. Is there a way to change this? I haven't seen it in the preferences or the internal preferences.

I did a quick test: in list & thumbnail mode, double clicking opens in trimmer/puts on a track (depending on your preferences). In detailed mode it changes the name. In explore it opens in trimmer/track irregardless of the listing mode.

I'd say it's a bug. A very annoying bug!

Try double-clicking on the "Use Count" cell instead of on the filename.

why not just drag it into the trimmer window? :-)
