Annoying little problem.

When I go to edit with Vegas I set the Time Ruler to "Time & Frames", then stretch the Timeline so that every notch represents 1 second.
After editing I save my project and when later I restart Vegas to continue the job I always have to reset the Time Ruler and Timeline to the way I like it.
I just wonder if there is a way to save the Time Ruler settings.
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks to all in advance.

Odd,
I think whatever you set the timeline to sticks, or do you mean the way you have it stretched?

I believe that is part of the PROJECT PREFERENCES that you can save. Go to Preferences, RULER and change to what you want. Then select START All NEW PROJECTS WITH THESE SETTINGS.

Now it will stick.

Bob, it's the way that I have it stretched I would like to have it come back to.

Dave, I don’t see “START All NEW PROJECTS WITH THESE SETTINGS” in the preferences menu. I’m not sure what you mean.
Thanks.
Eric.

No, Vegas will not remember the zoom you were at. It always starts at a default zoom level.

Press Alt+ENTER to get to the Project Properties dialog. Select the Ruler tab, Select the Ruler time format you want. The [X] Start all new projects with these settings option is at the bottom of each of these tabs. Check it and press OK.

[edit] My bad. n19093 is correct it's Alt+ENTER. Fix it!

Thanks Johnny,
to set the Ruler I do “File/ Properties/Ruler and then” [X] Start all new projects with these settings “. When I do it your way it’s just like I hit ENTER and my project starts to play.
Too bad Vegas does not remember the zoomed in Timeline: That is what I was looking for, I’ll just have to live with it I guess.
Thanks to all.

"ALT-Enter" works just fine, thank you. I learn every time I open this wonderful forum.
