I'm experiencing a playback problem that baffles me. There have been no changes made to the burner (Pioneer A05). All DVD-R's made seem to play fine on the usual DVD players I use for testing. But the DVD-R's I burned this week have stopped playing back on my computer since reloading WinDVD. However, DVD-R's burned prior to that work fine. I've reloaded WinDVD a half dozen times, no difference.
Only other thing that has changed is that I deleted the introductory media in my project. The problem appeared after that.
I've seen this problem before on my regular DVD players but it went away with one of the DVD Architect version upgrades. Behavior is that you can move the focus around and navigate submenus but when you press ENTER on a menu item with video behind it, it does not play. The WinDVD track/chapter counter briefly shows a 1 but then goes back to 0 and nothing plays.
My only clue is that my older DVD-R's seem to quickly count through the chapters in the track/chapter counter when WinDVD opens whereas the ones that do not play, do not.
Does this feel like a WinDVD issue or is this a DVD Architect burning issue? Or does DVD Architect need introduction media to avoid problems?
