IF you click the square one right after you click the arrow that should solve your problem. I have no idea what these strange archaic symbols mean, but it seems to do the trick for me.
That's not a work around, it's a feature. Press arrow right, it scrolls the playhead down the timeline. Press arrow left, it scrolls backwards down the timeline. Press arrow up, it zooms in on the timeline centered around the playhead, press arrow down, it zooms out on the timeline centered around the playhead.
...why would I want to do any of that..? ...all I want to do is remove the "red eye" from my family photos...looks like I'll be going back to MS Paint...
Oh, I have a great fix for red-eye removal. You take the picture, get a sharpie and then just color in the red part of the eye till it's all black, or blue, or red, depending on the color of sharpie you use, it works great and is very noticeable.
ClipMan: Sounds like you're trying to use Vegas -- a video-editing environment -- to edit still pictures.
You're right in thinking that MS Paint (or Photoshop, or Fireworks...) is better suited to that task.
...hedges...? ...never thought of that...been using it on my moustache ...rock solid app....and people here can't figure out what to do with the trimmer...
