When I convert from 4:3 to 16:9 aspect ratios using the Ultimate S script, the results play back great on a widescreen monitor. As I'm working however, I'm using a 4:3 monitor, so the video gets stretched vertically on the screen and playback is not quite as smooth as the 4:3 playback is.
Here's my question: If I run the Ultimate S "filmlook" script, then set the properties back to a 4:3 project, I get a letterboxed widescreen image that is as responsive as the 4:3 image and looks great in my 4:3 monitor. If I render that to a 16:9 widescreen final avi or mpeg it seems to work just fine. Am I loosing any quality in the final 16:9 render if I do it this way?
