Another DVDA & Apex problem!

Sonic Foundry: I've discovered another DVDA & Apex problem. I created a decent sized project in DVDA (home movie stuff) and had 6 chapter points. On my 2 Apex AD-1500's & an Apex AD-1110W that I purchased as a gift for my mother if you reverse past a chapter point it positions itself near the beginning of the chapter that it just entered. In other words if I'm in chapter 2 and press reverse it ends up near the beginning of chapter 1. If I'm in chapter 3 and reverse past the chapter point it ends up near the beginning of chapter 2, etc. I tried the disc in my Xbox and it does not have a problem with reversing into the previous chapter. I also tried one of my recorded Survivor discs authored with DVD Movie Factory 1 and all three Apex's reverse into the previous chapter just fine!!! ARRrrGgggg! One more thing, the new AD-1110W also hiccups on every chapter point on a DVDA made disc, even when the bitrate is very low (as in < 6kbps being just still white text on a black background) so something is not right with how DVDA is authoring the chapters. I'm taking the Apex AD-1110W back to Wal-Mart and giving my Mom the $ to buy a better player but I think this problem should be looked into.

So to recap:

Reverse into previous chapter problem (R)
Chapter crossing boundry problem (C)

Model DVDA disc Ulead DMF 1 disc
-------------------- ------------ ----------------
Apex AD-1500 R No problems
Apex AD-1110W R C No problems
Xbox No problems No problems
-------------------- ------------ ----------------

Thanks,
-Troy

Sonic Foundry: I had DVDA regenerate all the files after installing 1.0c and rebooting. This problem still happens on my 2 Apex AD-1500's. I can't reverse into the end of the previous chapter, it jumps all the way to near the beginning of the previous chapter. Have you guys been able to reproduce this?

No. We tried but we're unable to reproduce on our Apex AD-1500. Have you tried to repro with more than just the one project? Maybe, the problem is project related.

I, too, have seen this happen on an APEX player. Shortly after chapter 3 started, I pressed rewind and ended up at the beginning of chapter 2 as soon as the boundry was crossed. However, I didn't thoroughly test this and have not made any DVDs yet with 1.0c.
