I was able to get a disc made. I used Sony Vegas Studio 9.0B Platinum pro I took the video and photo footage from some clips shot last CHristmas, added music, titles etc. Since DVD architect does not function on my setup I used Windows dvd burner. Rendering the project in Sony Vegas took about 3 1/2 hours; the video is about 40 minutes long.
After it burned, there is still no audio. No voice, no music anything. The video part looks decent enough, a little grainy and shaky but that is another aspect where I want to get new software that can clean that up a bit.
Still a silent movie though. I have contacted tech support about this issue in the past, they were unable to help. They did say that it can sometimes save as either video only or audio only; they could not say why or how to choose
I had one last week that had all the audio track, but in a 12 minute film only 30 seconds of video right in the middle appeared, then the screen went back to black.
Interesting, because when it is entered in Vegas Studio, it has BOTH the audio and Video, but it does not save both when it burns.
As I mentioned, DVD architect does not function on my computer. It opens, but it does not do anything.
I am looking at the Corel program. It claims that it can add sounds (music) as well as publish and burn the DVDs (something Vegas cannot do) Special Effects are not that big of a deal, I just want to spl;ice together the hours and hours of video clips I have and add some titles and sound. I am thinking Corel will do what Sony Vegas cannot.....
