Another "How do I" question

nosbig1975 wrote on 3/7/2004, 7:27 PM
I am in the Trimmer window. I have a selection, which I worked very hard to create. I want to play a section of that selection (usually at the beginning or end of the selection) WITHOUT cancelling/deleting the selection. That is, right now if I try to play a sub-section of the existing selection, I can do it only by re-defining the selection, thus loosing the original selection.

Is there a way (or a workaround) to do this?

Thanks in advance!

I'd put a pair of markers at the beginning and end of the selection. You can always double-click between the markers to reselect the section. Then delete the markers when you don't need them anymore.

The "Backspace" key will cycle through your last 5 time selections.

So, play the portion you want, then hit Backspace to recreate your time selection.

I know this works on the timeline, but I haven't tested it in the trimmer, so you may want to test it out first.

Not exacty sure what you are asking ,what are you creating in the trimmer ?
This may or may not be what you are asking but hope it helps.
Right click on the selection and make it a region or you can just put your selection up on the timeline

That's it. It works for me.

Thank you all for your tips and suggestions.
