I know what's going on and I doubt the problem could be fixed but worth mentioning cause it took me a little head scratching at first.
Tried to open a V7 veg on another machine and it just hung, CPU @ 100% and commit charge slowly climbing. Had a few goes and gave up. Opened another project from the same batch minus the nested veg and it opened but with a warning that a plug couldn't be found. Just gave up after I realised my silliness.
Then it dawned on me why the first project I tried hung. The nested veg calls a plug that wasn't on that machine. No doubt the instance of Vegas that had the plug missing was frantically stuck trying to send me a message but has no way of doing so. Not a big issue if you know what's going on.
