Another ProRes Bug (Not Colour!)

Craig-Rogers wrote on 12/5/2025, 3:10 PM

I don't have the colouring issue with ProRes, I think it's because I'm using 422 Proxy, but I've just discovered this problem.

The video shows first a ProRes converted clip, when I reverse it, it not only reverses it but also puts it upside down, the 2nd clip is the original h.264 and the reverse works as expected. This one actually made me giggle. 😁

I can't then rotate 180deg because then it's mirrored.

You can flip it using Pan/Crop. Make the Width a minus value but keep the Height unaltered.

Brilliant, I didn't think about negating the width, thanks! Get's me out of a hole.

Another option is just to mouse-rightclick in the pan/crop window and choose "Flip Horizontal". The letter F shows the orientation.

Cool, another neat feature I didn't know existed. I created a preset that has the neg horizontal and 180deg flip, but thanks!

@3POINT Thanks. I knew there was a simpler way but couldn't find it as I looked in the wrong place!!

@EricLNZ As always there are more options to achieve something in Vegas, you can also use Trackmotion to flip horizontal or vertical, advantage the flip is valid for all events on that track. Disadvantage there is no F-sign to distinguish the orientation.
