another thing - markers and regions

I have a little free time on my hands this morning so I
thought I'd also mention that, if you didn't already know
it, you can see Sound Forge markers and regions by loading
files into the trimmer and then selecting and dragging from
there into a track. This is the best and easiest way to
edit from forge to Vegas.

I noticed this misunderstanding in many posts as well.

p.s. you can also add markers and regions in the trimmer
view and save them for use in Forge later...

At this point I would really be interested in some help from Vegas
overcoming some of those time consuming details that add up on any
project.

In additon to "Go To", "Rename" and "Delete" on a Marker's right
Click context menu, it would be nice to see the following:

a) the ability to "Go To" any other Marker from an automatically
generated list of currently existing Markers in the project.

b) the ability to Name/Rename a Marker from a "user defined list" of
names, acessible from either a drop down list box, or right click
context menu ... i.e., Verse1, Verse2, Chorus1, Chorus2, Coda,
Reprise, etc.

Also, an option to turn off automatic numbering of Markers 1 to 9.

(There may be already a way to do this but, if so, I've missed it ...
to me, the numbering of markers adds to confusion when you have to
put additional marker(s) between two that already exist.)

And, since most engineers eventually devise their own shorthand for
writing on Channel Strips, it would speed things up considerably to
be able to add these shorthand notations to a "user defined list" for
all projects, acessible from either a drop down list box or right
click context menu, for naming channel strips when setting up a new
project.

In short, just about anything that precludes having to switch
from the mouse to the keyboard and back can save a lot of time.

KAC ...
