Another Vegas problem - missing timeline!

Actually, not sure if it's Vegas 9.0c 64-bit, or Vista?

I already had major problems trying to make it work on Windows 7 a month ago. Went back to Vista and have been working smoothly.

Wasn't having any problems until this afternoon. Earlier today Vista ran an update to Service Pack 2 (10:30 am). Around 4:30pm I suddenly have a problem of no content appearing in the timeline. However, if I click in the timeline area and hit the spacebar it does play my program. Can't do anything with it though since I can't see anything in the timeline. Yes, the video does appear in the video window.

My sources seem to be there in the bins but that doesn't really update either.

MORE WASTED TIME. And right at the end of a project.

No, I didn't add any programs today.

do you see the timeline ? it you are and nothings in it ... not a clue. if its gone you sure nothing is covering it, such as project media window or such

It should be fairly simple to do a system restore prior to the Service Pack 2 install. This may resolve things or at least tell you that Service Pack 2 is the problem.

Check the scroll bar on the right side to make sure it just isn't scrolled up or down too far.
