Another Velocity E. problem/bug

Today I noticed for the first time on my two Vegas-systems it is impossible to reverse playback speed of a clip using Velocity Envelopes. When I drag this horizontal line down to - 100 percent the whole clips freezes instead of reversing the speed below a value of 0 percent.
I tested it on a notebook and a desktop pc and both with Vegas 4 and VegasVideo3.
Both systems use Athlon CPUs.
Might this be the reason? Is it impossible to reverse Clips with Velocity Envelopes if using Athlon CPUs?

Make sure the clip is set to Loop, otherwise it will stick at the first or last frame.

The BEST way I have found to use reversed video is to find the LAST frame (which will be the new first frame) and do a split at that point. Once you do the split, delete the left portion and add the velocity envelope to the right portion and set the negative percentage. Finally, extend the length of the clip until you get back to your original "first" frame (which will now be your last frame).
