Answer [Ticket#2024020917001466] Installation VegasEdit 21 problems.

Due to the problems encountered when editing with Vegas Edit 21, I uninstalled absolutely everything from Magix (versions 19, 20 and 21), cleaned the registries and all the traces left on the PC. I downloaded the last update from Vegas Edit 21, version 208, which I tried to reinstall and I have the unpleasant surprise to find that it won't let me install it. I tried several times, absolutely useless. The highlight is that I installed Vegas Edit 19 without problems. I am in progress with a project started with Vegas Pro21, whose delivery deadline is already delayed due to program failures. It is possible that there is incompatibility with the latest updates to Windows 11, maybe.

I want to thank the Magix team for their promptness, even if the first answer did not help me. I want to share with other users who encountered the same problem, the solution proposed later, which worked for me.

In the past, I've had issues with other software not working or installing correctly. Vegas hasn't given me any issues. But with those programs that did, I would resort to Revo Uninstaller. I have the Pro version and there is a FREE version. It would not only uninstall the program, but go through the registry looking for it, and also looking for leftover folders. Mind you, before deleting any registry entries, double check to make sure they don't relate to anything else. Same with the folders.

It has always worked for me in Moderate, but then when I am really pissed and want to "nuke" the software, Advanced is what I use.

Glad you got things working!

Reyfox, thanks for the advice, I actually used the paid version for Revo Uninstaller. I can't figure out what happened, after I finish the project, I will reinstall the entire operating system cleanly. I know that the few times I had problems with Vegas pro, each time I received a good answer from the community on the forum and a solution from the team, that's why the legal purchase is worth it.
