Any news on why DVDA2 is quitting more often than not? I have posted a number of crash logs here of recent times regarding DVDA2 crashing. Also the m2v files created in Vegas 5 also cause a few problems of thier own. Overall the program is ok, was great at first but now needs a few bolts tightened here and there.

cheers

We are looking into the crash in the ac3 plug-in. Can you please describe what you mean by "m2v files created in Vegas 5 also cause a few problems of their own"?

Hi,

Sorry I should have added more. I created a 1 hour 40 minute m2v sample video in vegas 5, inserted into DVDA2 AND it did not like the file. Created the same as an MPEG, did the same process and DVDA2 was ok? Possibly because m2v is not a native format as it does not show up as compliant files.

Hope this helps.

I'm not able to reproduce the problem: m2v files show up as being compliant. Of course, m2vs must also meet all DVD compliant criteria such as resolution, GOP size, bitrate, etc. just like MPEG files.

If you start with the "DVD Architect NTSC video stream" and in the custom template dialog only click "Save as separate elementary streams" on the system tab, you should create a compliant .m2v file.
