Any FX 1 owners used a wide angle adapter yet?

Just wondering how the Sony wide angle adapters are on the FX 1 .
I thought I remember Spot saying something about the zoom thru ability but I dont remember if it was good or bad, and if it was with the Sony 72mm or something like a Century optics W/A.
If any one has them would it be poss to post a couple of screen caps of a shot with one on and one off.
I'm wondering how the effect is with16x9.?
does it create more barrel dist?

We've got two FX1s with Sony WA adaptors but sorry can't get to them for a while. The lenses seem to work very well though, perhaps better than the ones Sony made for the 150s.
I think SPOT said the Sony ones were better than the Century lens. Bear in mind though out that wide in 16:9 the barrel distortion maybe a fact of physics not poor optics.

One thing to be aware of, no matter which lens you screw on the front, you're making an already front heavy camera much more so.

Thanks farss,
I'm aware that it is a physics thing just due to the shape of the lens and the rectangular shape of the wider 16X9 ccds(in very simple terms), I was just wondering how bad it is/would be.
I'm thinking about this for certian shots I need that will be fairly close up shots where I need to get alot of area in the frame.(shooting in close quarters)
Would the distortion be better/lesser or worse with close shots that long or visa versa?

At the same focal length it's going to be the same naturally however I think in close ups it's less noticeable. Where it's really noticeable is wide distant shots being panned. In fact even without the WA adaptor it's quite noticeable on the FX1 out as wide as it'll go.

How wide does the FX 1/Z1 open up to compared to the VX2000/PD150?

In terms of 24x36 mm film:

- The widest setting of the FX1 (16:9) is 32,5 mm
- The widest setting of the DVX-100 (4:3) is 32,5 mm
- The widest setting of the FX1 (4:3) is 40 mm (however 4:3 is not the native format of the CCDs)
- The widest setting of the XL2 (16:9) is 41 mm
- The widest setting of the VX2000 (4:3) is 43 mm
- The widest setting of the XL2 (4:3) is 51 mm (already slightly into tele ;-)

I loved it on the Z1. I really want one. It is definitely a nose dropper on the cam, but it doesn't distort or vignette until you are pushed all the way into it and even then, it's pretty acceptable. They did this one right, IMO.
