I do it all the time.

1/- OPen 2 Instances of Vegas . .. or if you have your project open , open ANOTHER instance of Vegas.

2/- Select an Event > Copy > Alt+Tab to the "other" instance ..

3/- Paste . .Done!

PLesh!

.. or you can have another Project open and paste into that! You gotta a neat piece of Text work? Copy and paste that. You gotta a neat FX effect you don't want to have to re-create . .Copy and Paste that too!

What do you mean another project? How do you open more than one project at once?

You got one project open - yes? Ok, now OPEN another INSTANCE of Vegas and from within that find your other project No2 and open it there in this 2nd instance of Vegas. Now, if you REALLY want flexibility .. I've had 4 projects iopen at one time and swapping bits and pieces all over the shop!

So:

1/- Open 2 instances of Vegas

2/- Open Project No.1 in Instance No.1

3/- Open Project No.2 in Instance No.2

You're gonna find "easier" ways of doing this as you get funky . . but this is a great way of playing . . er . . the field . .as it were - -Ahhuh!
