Anybody else work with Premiere too?

I've been using Premiere since version 4... that's about four years! I just began using Vegas 3, and I must say it is a different can of worms. I like it, but am having trouble adjusting.... Any one else move from Premiere to Vegas? Any tips on how to make the transition painless? (like get real), I also use Acid 3.. that helps. I am still looking for the freaking Chroma key......

GG:

If your screen is real crowded with events, you can hold Ctrl+Shift and make time selections over the top of events. Or, drag out the time selection in the loop bar area.

I still use Premiere 6, but I've never liked it and actually came from the Ulead Media Studio Pro camp. Once I got over the idea I had to drop transitions between events the rest was easy. And I've learned to detest that concept - P6 *still* tricks me occasionally and puts a bad 'tail' in the middle of a dissolve!

I assume you've found chromakey by now in the video filters (and p263 in the manual). My limited testing shows VV3 to be very good at it.

I came to video editing as an audio guy (Cakewalk). I started with Ulead MSP 5, then Premiere 6, and then happily discovered Vegas. Vegas feels so intuitive relative to the others because it looks/feels like the audio programs I've used. It may be the single easiest computer program I've ever used (compared to other high-power, specialized tools).

I didn't use Premiere long enough to have to un-learn anything.
