Anybody Ever Have This Problem?

I upgraded one of my computers to AMD 3200+ with a Gigabyte board GA-K8U-939 and 1 stick of 1 gig ram. The HDD and SCSI card LED lights after booting will constantly blink once every second at the same time together. No applications open, shut off indexing on all drives, shut off restore on all drives and removed all the trick fades and stuff from XP PRO. The lights will show normal HDD & SCSI usage in addition to the one second blinking at the same time. Everything seems to work ok. Tried shutting off services that XP would let me do but no good. The LED'S will start the one second bit just before the welcome sign appears during booting. Also ran up in admin safe mode and they still blink. Tried to update F3 bios with F5 bios but Flash says it's too big. There is no overclocking--- gaming port, parallel port, IR port, SATA are all shut off. I have another computer with the same board but an AMD dual core, F3 bios, two ram 1 gigs. no SCSI, SATA drives energized and it is fine.

I would check the wires coming from the LED's where they attach to the MOBO and make sure the + is + and the - is -. I would also make sure that they are on the right nodes. (I have the same board and when I was hooking them up the LED's were a little confusing- mainly b/c my case didn't label the LED plugs.)
