Anybody use a Wacom tablet when editing?

I use a Wacom tablet sometimes when working in Photoshop so I thought I'd try it out with Vegas to see how easy it was to edit with it. It was very awkward actually. Not sure if it would help me out in the long run to continue using it. I know that Gary Kleiner uses one when he edits but seems a little slow for me :(

I haven't figured out a good way to use it in Vegas yet; but I do use my Wacom in SONAR - it's great for drawing envelopes. And it's also very useful in Blender for 3D work.

I use the wacom bamboo in sonar and in vegas as well as my graphics prog. In vegas it makes making detailed masks easier. Also I use it for envelopes. I also use the ShuttleProv2.

I think that I am about the buy a Contour Shuttle Pro V.2. I am tired of scrolling the timeline with a mouse--even using the time selection loop method like Gary shows in his videos. It's easy when you don't need to be precise, but that's where the trouble begins.

Anyone else using one? I searched the archives and only found this thread and one other about the device.

TIA.

Well, I use the wacom tablet on the right, my trackball and keyboard in the middle and my Shuittle Pro v2 on the left. They work great together. Very happy.

Ahhhhh....masks - that could be very helpful. I've started using Vegas to create masks for compositing. I do most of my compositing in Blender; but Blender doesn't have a quick way to make 2D masks. So Vegas is my tool for masks and basic rotoscoping.

Thanks for the idea.

I use a Wacom Intuos 3 6x11 with Vegas, ProTools, FCP, Motion and have a Mackie MCU for transport control and mixing.

I use SONAR as well as Vegas, and would really love to get a Mackie MCU at some point. But I simply cannot justify it at this point; I don't really do much audio processing now. But I have been using Vegas 2-3 hours per day over the past 4-6 weeks, and think it's probably time for some workflow enhancing tools--like the Shuttle Pro, for example.
