I don't know the s/w, but if it is GPU-aware, try turning OFF GPU acceleration.

Already tried the usual things. Turning off GPU is not good. HitFilm - Ignite produces odd render glitches with GPU off. :/

O...K...

Prior to Rendering, does it crash with the GPU OFF?

Yes, it still crashes or locks up.

Just did a random sample of HF4 Ignite plugins on an .mts clip on the VP13 timeline - all seemed okay - no lock ups or crashes. I haven't tried any renders thus far.

One I find consistently locks up and fails is the HitFilm - Motion Blur plugin. The preview window will freeze, and then Vegas will eventually crash.
