^ that's the error message.

FILENAME: N/A
STATUS: MUXCOMP:VALIDATING ERROR. --- CANNOT LOAD SCHEMA FOR THE NAMESPACE
'HTTP://TEMPURI.ORG/PROJECTDEFINITION.XSD' - COULD NOT FIND FILE S:\VEGAS\ARCHITECT'..

Now here's what the problem is. After getting this error, I thought that maybe I need to update the program, so I ran to the library with internet, and downloaded the update that is for Architect 5.0,

http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/updates/dvdastudio

but when I installed it, the software would not work anymore, and when i went into the folder, it seems most of the files were erased for some reason and I was left with a folder of 57 files and total of 73 Mb's in size. And another problem is I have to register the software again when I reinstall from Application DVD ! (and to reinstall i had to delete that "broken" folder, because it says you have a newer version of architect installed, but in reality it doesn't even open...)

Computer:
Vista 64-bit Home Premium SP2
Asus P6T Deluxe
Intel i7 920 2.67 GHz
Corsair 6gb. DDR3-1333 RAM
Verto GeForce 460 1GB.
Creative Soundcard
2 Seagate HD's 500GB, 1TB
1 SSD Crucial 128 GB. for Windows and programs

Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10
(DVD Architect Studio 5.0 included)

Please help me.

P.S. I go to library for internet access, so if you need more info, it will take me sometime go get it here. Thanx.

Are you saying that an early version of DVDA Studio used to work, but stopped working for some reason? And that you tried to update to the latest version and that didn't help?

If so it looks like something got corrupted in your system or DVDAS in particular.

Try unstalling DVDAS if possible. Delete all folders associated with DVDAS and clean the registry. Then try reinstalling again.

Try and think back to anything you may have done or software you installed that could have caused the breakage, and try to undo it.

If that doesn't work, then you may have to bite the bullet and reinstall everything. If you have a recent image backup of your C drive then this will be relatively painless. Don't forget to save all wanted data on your C drive first, and make a backup of your broken system as well for insurance.

Don't install build 157 over previous builds of DVDAS 5.0, it will fail as you've found out. Uninstall DVDAS 5.0 then install build 157.

Nonono...it worked fine, but I never tried to make blu-ray with it, but when I tried that feature...it turned out that it doesn't work, so I went for the update and then all this happened.

Meanwhile I got a response from support team, but if I have to uninstall everything, even vegas movie studio, I'm a little nervous, because I'm working on my friend's wedding and if I won't be able to open it up after reinstallation, then it will be a real problem.

So, I'll finish wedding, install the architect, make that dvd and after that I will try to fix it...I hope it works.

Good thing my friend is expecting a DVD, not a Blu-Ray..hehe.

Anyway, I'll keep you posted, I just didn't think I would get an answer so I started working on a project, and now I have to finish it before I try fixing things.

Thanx for the replies
