You may already be aware of this workaround, but I have found that if I open Options --> Preferences and make a change (and then change it back) then click Apply, the metronome behaves accordint to project properties again.
The goal is to just get the Apply button to become active so you can click it, you don't actually have to change anything permanently.
Well - aware of the problem and searching for a workaround I have to admit that doesn't work for me.. it seems to be a random number of tries and resetting the bpm and occasionally closing & re-opening before it actually works.
If it hasn't been acknowledged, and it certainly hasn't been fixed, I really wonder what the Sony programmers are doing all day. It's a dying concept I know, but I would have thought it wise to fix current broken 'features' before looking at adding new ones...
I and others have posted about the metronome bug countless times, since Vegas 4 was released. Insane.
It's been annoying me pretty much forever. I assumed it was known, acknowledged and would be fixed pronto, but it seems to have not been addressed yet, for some reason or not.
Just to confirm - this is the metronome playing at a different speed from the timeline ruler and bpm setting.. I called Sony today and they mentioned about tempo resetting to "default project setting" and I explained that this was not related to that nor to sync....
On loading a project the metronome plays the previous speed - so totally out of time with the measures & beats grid and the current setting
