Anyone else use Flash MX video for web showcasing?

Hello everyone,

I'm curious to see if after you edit in Vegas (of course), if anyone else has used flash MX video for showcasing on the web. I was extremely amazed at what the sorenson squeeze output of an .avi file did and how small the file size is... Please take a look at some of my video samples on my website www.influx-media.com and please let me know what you think of the quality. In my opinion, it blows quicktime or windows media file away..im curious to what others think.

I have to say the quality of the video is very good comapred to WMP or Quicktime. The only thing I don't like is that you can't control the video like you can with WMP. I would be interested to know exactly how you encoded the video using Vegas and Flash MX, I have both programs and would love to play around with it.

Hi Brian,

The ability to easily incorporate streaming video into Flash presentations is a great tool. However, when you consider factors such as preload time, etc. WM9 (prepared through say, Vegas) beats out Flash for streaming straight video presentations.

Hello,

You can add a controls via your flash movie; I have yet to add them yet. Flash is really a wonderful thing, then again so is Vegas =) Streaming I have not dealt with yet, so travis is right about his use for video on the net right now.
