Since I have unsuccessfully waited several weeks for Sony support to reply to my question, I decided to ask the forum:
Has anyone had any problems upgrading their Noise Reduction 2.0 plugin to version k? I currently have version 2.0 h and when I try to upgrade to version k I keep getting the message: "Please shutdown and restart the current application to complete the registraton process". This happens every time I either access the plugin or click the Upgrade button. The installation itself is successful but the activation fails. That is, I can't get the window to appear for entering my serial number.
I have tried uninstalling version h first, then installing version k, as well as installing over version h without uninstalling it first, but without any success. Note I have been able to roll back to my previous state with via Windows system restore.
I have tried activating the plugin from Vegas Pro 10e (both 64 and 32 bit versions) as well as from Soundforge Studio 10, but still no success. I have searched the support pages and the forum for any information on the subject but have not found anything relevant.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
