Does anyone know why you cannot preview changes from inside Boris to the monitor without jumping out of Boris back to the Vegas timeline first. Other NLEs do seem to have this problem. Any idea if/when this will be improved?
This is an issue with Vegas' cacheing. I do not believe it will be changed anytime soon, in my opinion.
There should be instructions inside whatever Boris software you are using about this. Search for "Vegas" in the PDF. It's probably near the end; maybe even in a toubleshooting section. There is not necessarily anything wrong, that's just how Boris and Vegas work together.
You have to do something like set your (Vegas) RAM preview MB to 0, or something like that.
Personally, I use Boris Red 3GL. If I want to see a preview, I do it externally from Vegas. For other not-too-intricate things, no Boris preview from within Vegas is OK for me.
My question was simple--Vegas 6.0 shipped with new versions of Boris. One of these programs would allow for "better" chromokey. Has anyone used this and it is any good?
In addition, Boris was supposed to include a de-shaker. Has anyone used this application and how does it compare to similar apps?
We all know that Boris was supposed to have provided better titling since 5.0--not many have benefited from this, since it is hard to use.
