Anyone used an HVR-MRC1?

This Flash-storage unit comes with the HVR-Z7U camera, but I "believe" it's also going to be available separately. (B&H says "taking orders", but not yet available...)
Does anyone know if the MRC1 has a limit on the card-capacity it will support, or will it accommodate larger storage sizes as they become available? For example... 32Gig cards are currently coming onto the market. Will the MRC1 work with them?
Background: I have a PD170 on which one of the two audio channels records terrible crackling noise every few seconds -- but only to TAPE. When possible, I record simultaneously to disk on my laptop - and the noise is not on the laptop-copy of the program. I had the PD170 "refurbished" by Sony about a year ago, for Sony's standard $550 charge -- I don't want to pay that amount again (especially not so soon), to have them try to fix this problem. . It'll be quite a while before I can afford to invest in an HVR-Z7U camera, so I'm looking to extend my PD170's useful life by getting a tapeless recorder that's easier to carry around than my laptop computer.

I have an S270 and as far as I know there is no such limitation. Certainly nothing like that has been explicitly stated by SONY.

I have a VX2000 as well and the userguide that ships with MRC1 has that camcorder (as well as the PD150/170) as being supported.

There will be some limitations based on to which camera the unit is attached, but not card capacity.

Thank you!
That sounds like good news.

I'm capturing from an A-Data Speedy 32gb CF card as I write this...works like a champ...only had one corrupt file so far in hundreds shot. I have 2 32s and a 16...the 32s cost about $85 and the 16 about 45...I usually run tape for mission critical shoots, but no problems so far.
Just gotta add....absolutely lovin' my Z7U...can't wait for an HDMI to CF or other mem. card solution...then the Z7U and the 270 will be unstoppable.
