Anyone used the Blackmagic H.264 Pro Recorder?

Very interesting device at

It's a $350 box that takes HDMI, SDI, component, and balanced XLR audio in and outputs 4:2:2 12-bit SD/HD H.264 via USB. Might be a relatively inexpensive way to input from DVCPROHD cameras (via SDI) to Vegas without having to deal with Panasonic vagaries or having to install Raylight Ultra.

I've used H.264 HD files as source in Vegas at work fairly successfully. What do you think of H.264 as source?

Also, more and more cameras have SDI out. If not this device, what is the best way to get an SDI input to Vegas? There used to be a few card-based devices that had SDI in that worked with Vegas. What's the latest/best/cheapest.
