Was gonna build dedicated HDD using win7 and as it aparently runs 32bit and 64bit apps within the one shell, I was hopign to be able to get the most out of my 32bit plugins wihtin a V64 enviornment...
Just curious as to what you think of performance??
I'm using Vegas 9a 32 and 64 on Windows 7 64. Both work quite well. I haven't done any benchmarks but my feeling is that everything runs better in windows 7 than in Vista 64. I was happily rolling along with a Vista 64 setup and I was also beta testing Windows 7/64 on the same machine, different boot drive... I started having hard drive problems with my Vista boot drive so I just switched over to Windows 7 since I had most of my applications installed on it already, and I haven't looked back. I just got an update from Contour Designs for my Shuttle Pro 2 that fixed a minor issue with that and I'm a happy camper.
both 32 / 64 on 7/64 - no problems so far. miss a lot of plugins in 9/64 though, so usually stick with 32 bit. everything simply screams along (i7/920, 6gb ram) - compared to my old xp 32 / e6600. so, ymmv, but either way, rock solid.
haven't gotten around to b3t's cff tricks with large ram usage, but have the notes printed out by me just in case ;-)
