anyone using EX1 with NEO-HD

I was wondering if anyone is using EX1 with NEO-HD?
What are the avantages?

If your archive your project do you only keep your .avi files from NEO and discard the .xmf files?

If you where to submit an HD video for broadcast TV, would you render it to an .avi file using NEO or better render it to another format from within Vegas native codecs?

Thanks,
Rob

I know Serena is and maybe Bob too. I'm about to make the upgrade before I do any serious work.

NEO-HD loses the timecode from the original mxf file

The advantages are similar as with HDV. I believe in archiving copies of the original camera files or, should you go through Sony's Clip Browser, the mxf files. I've always stored my original camera tapes. HDLink generates the 4:2:2 avi files directly from the camera 4:2:0 mp4 clips without saving copies of the original clips.
Not everyone is happy with the stringent user restrictions applied by Cineform (affecting those using networks) and generally they report satisfaction with the performance of Vegas Pro 8 with mxf clips. In my current project I'm cutting mxf because it has a simple post train and I want to evaluate that work flow. In general I prefer to get away from long GOP as soon as possible and in HDV did see real benefits in using Cineform.

Serena: Is there any finished product improvement from using their codex like there was in HDV? (Do you remember those days when we used HDV? How time flies)
