Hi,

I just purchased the Panasonic PV-GS70 camera,...it only has USB link, and after loading up my drivers for the camera, it is recognized in Vegas, but I can't seem to preview or capture any video...is there anything special I need to know about this camera and installing it for use in Vegas?

I am running Windows XP Professional, and Vegas 4.0e.

Thanks!

As far as I can see from the specs for the camera it has firewire.
The USB port is just for getting stills out of it and maybe if you want to use it as a webcam.

I have used the PV-GS70D as a deck and for external preview without any problems. Use firewire for capture and preview. The firewire port (labeled DV) is located at the lower right rear of the camcorder next to the S-video jack, underneath a plastic dust cover.

Thanks for the info! I did originally see the firewire port or I would have just used that! :)
