I'm not seeing anything with Gear that suggests it supports any of the new DL burners, so unless you are planning on using a replication house, I'm not sure how Gear helps out.

You cannot simply combine the contents of 2 VIDEO_TS folders into one by renaming the files (or some such), you need to author the entire project as a single unit.
