Apology for recent virus warning – and thanks

This message is posted and written for Vegas Forum members who had visited our website recently and experienced a virus warning, as well as for those members who posted threads on the “Warning…Specialist keyboard” topic over the past few days.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience that this issue may have caused to you. As of the afternoon of Friday, Sept. 12th, the website issue had been resolved. The cause of the issue was identified, and we do not expect it to occur again.

I would like to extend our appreciation to Forum user—VideoCurmudgeon—for contacting us directly and passing the diagnostic information that was shared on the forum, thus enabling us to quickly identify and resolve the issue. Many thanks for your proactive call and professionalism, and thanks as well to those of you that helped identify the problem (Marquat, Scotty_dvc80, etc.).

Finally, after reading the various threads that were posted around this and the virus protection topic in general, I must admit that I’ve learned a great deal about firewalls, anti-virus software and other related technologies. There are certainly some very knowledgeable Vegas users out there. I look forward to reading more of your insights in the future—ideally however, on other, more DV-related topics.

Take care and best of luck with your endeavors. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Michael Moore

Thank you, Michael, for taking the time to post the apology--a rarity these for the corporate side of America. Very refreshing indeed!

Wow...I must admit..........that is impressive. I didn't really follow that thread too closely because I'm not currently looking for a keyboard solution but anytime I see a company personally respond like this I am impressed.

Good job, VideoCurmudgeon for your work reporting this.

Sr. C, you are right...it is nice to see a company respond the way they did, it is impressive!

I'd like to be the one to test this keyboard. WorldTech now knows how smart the end user is in this forum, and who would be a better test subject? (pick me!!), well, only if you want a newbie anyway....:)

Jon, I can't take all the credit. Scotty was the one who pointed it out to me. All I did was call WorldTech and let me know.
