Apply Audio FX to Event

I wan to add a slight reverb to a 4 second audio event. I thought this would be very simple. However, after referencing online help, 2 books and a thread on the topic, it appears I cannot easily do this unless a seperate track is created for the audio and the fx is applied to the track.

I also read about non-real time audio fx and takes, whiich could also work but would be more trouble than just creating a new audio track.

Is there an easier way to do this? It would seem that with Vegas' emphasis towards audio, this would be an easy deal. Why isn't it?

Hi David. Yes, it's a shame that real time audio fx cannot be applied to events. I was hoping it would be added to Vegas 5 but unfortunately, no.

Thanks for confirming my understanding. I quickly added an audio track and track fx and it's done. It seems like such an overkill for just a 4-8 second event. Maybe in the next version of Vegas...

I third that...

I wish all track level controls were available on the event level.
