apply transition on two closest events - script in C#

Hello,

I have two video events, one is close to the second one. They don't overlap, but they are close together. I don't want them to overlap.

I need to write a script which apply single video transition on these two events.

Transition starts i.e. 5 frames before the end of 1st video event.

Transition ends i.e. 5 frames after the start of 2nd video event.

I cannot find any similiar script on Vegas Pro Scripting forum.

I need the script in C#.

See this tutorial and ignore the "split" part:

Does that do what you want? Of course you'll need to add the timecode adjustment to match whatever distance your "5 frames before" and "5 frames after" really is. Basically your distance to add will be:

RightEvent.Start - LeftEvent.End + Timecode.FromFrames(5);

i.e. the distance between the two events (if they're not touching) plus 5 frames. Then adjust the left one right 5 frames and the right one left 5 frames.

I have meant specified transition from transition tab where i.e. I saved it as a preset. I don't want to cross fade in/out overlap the events.

I explain you the situation how I do it manually not from the script.

I.e. you have two video events (clip001.mp4 and clip002.mp4), they are touching themselves. They are aligned. Manually you go to transition tab list, choose the transition you want and drag and drop the specified transition on the line which they are aligned (I mean the line when they are touched).
I would like to achieve the same but via script.

I hope you know what I mean. I want to work it for specified transition saved before as a preset.
