Applying a logo to the top of a project so its seen always

You know when you are watching the travel channel or E! and their logo is always present at the bottom. Well, I am experimenting with it in Vegas. I created a small logo in Fireworks MX and saved it as a .png file. Then I applied it to a video track layer above an image on a lower video track. Then I opened up the pan box, and I shrunk it, but it only gives me minimal movement if I try to move it in the lower corner. It really doesn't get past the center all that well. Whats the deal?

Thanks

My dumb ass Luddite way to do the logo thing is make a 720 X 480 image with the logo where it should be then key it. I am sure there are better ways to do it but I never have time to experiment much, too busy doing primarily straight cut editing with the odd dissolve.

Use Track Motion instead.

You need to do this with Track Motion. That will let you put it wherever you want.

You should try TRACK MOTION. It usually keeps your files looking pretty good without distortion and allows you to move them anywhere you want. You can set the whole track to be stationary in the corner or use keyframes to start it somewhere and move it elsewhere. I use PhotoShop and import my Logos as a .PSD so that the transparent parts stay transparent. I hate square borders on Logos.

pb - The way you are doing it probably takes more time than the way we are describing. Also you will get better results this way because sometimes you get an awful 'halo' with keys depending on what you are using them against. If you are creating your logo's in PhotoShop this is definitely the best way to do it. Since Vegas will read .PSD's you can import your PhotoShop file into Vegas and you will see all of your PhotoShop FX in tact. Along with a transparent background.(which you will not see... ie Transparent)
