Applying a "Theme" throughout. How?

I notice that as menus are created, they are always the basic theme.

Is there a way of having each new menu keep the same theme as the one I might choose at the first menu instead of manually having to change each subsequent theme?

If you Insert Page (as opposed to Insert Submenu), then it will retain your theme for the new page.

Yep, you're right. But I wonder why the same results don't happen with the additions of submenus.
