Even though storage these days is plentiful, it isn't yet infinite. When I'm done with a video project, burn the DVDs, including archival copies on gold media, and archive the .veg files, I'd like to delete the avi files from my hard drives. In the most unlikely event that I may need to, in the future, re-edit any of this material, am I correct in my understanding that re-capturing the tapes (using the same naming conventions as on the originals) will allow me to go back to my .veg files and proceed unhampered? Assuming that capturing tapes by using that specific command will work, will recapturing "video" also work? [that is of academic interest since I've only used "capture tape" to access my videos]. Has anyone been confronted by this situation and is able to impart his wisdom here?
