Are AJA and BM .dlls fixed in the latest build?

Not sure if the older release notes ever get edited, but the first release version of 12.0 still reads:
"You can now preview audio through supported AJA and BlackMagic Design video preview devices."

In the VP12 builds I've tried so far (I believe 670 was the last I installed) not even video preview through an AJA Kona was possible unless you replaced the VP12 AJA .dll with the .dll from VP11. I was told early on by support that the audio preview would be enabled in a later build. Well, has it? Does video preview even work yet? I know a few months back there was a thread here where users were still going to the BM or AJA .dlls from VP11.

Would love to move fully to VP12, but the AJA preview (at least video) has to get fixed first. It's a bit of a bummer to upgrade and not be able to use what the software promised before the next upgrade is due.

have you checked with AJA to see if they have a mutual cooperative agreement with Sony to develop for latest builds of VegasPro??? BM has not had such an agreement since VegasPro version 9.0.

Black Magic is variable. Works for some people.

For my BM intensity shuttle the latest build is working.

For a new editing machine I'm building I have a BM Decklink mini-monitor card. It is not working in Vegas 9,10,11,12. For Vegas 12 I've tried decklink.dll from every build of Vegas 12 and the latest from 11.

The preview setup says "not connected" while it works fine with Adobe products.

@videoITguy, no I haven't.

But AJA's KONA page reads:
Directly supported applications include:

Avid® Media Composer® 6, Symphony® 6, and NewsCutter® 10
Adobe Premiere® Pro
Adobe After Effects®
Adobe Photoshop®
Sony® Vegas®
Eyeon Fusion®

And Vegas is included on their most recent software compatibility grid. New drivers were required for VP12 to use it at all, even with the .dll from 11 - drivers I used in VP11 crashed it. So it seems cooperation is ongoing, but SCS is the only party I can see that has listed capabilities in release notes that are inaccurate.

atom12, sorry but you need to go deeper than the marketing team of AJA. When cooperative detailed support aggreements are signed by development teams - that means as to be expected that each party engages the other to full resolution of any intertie that has been drawn up and designed to work in unison.

What you most often see however, is that only one party - aha - who? has signed an agreement - which means absolutely NOTHING will happen.

SCS has been known under many circumstances to withdraw from signing cooperative agreements and the other party has been left to hang. So sorry.

*sigh* I know. So, next question - after I do all the research on why it doesn't work, who do I bill for my time?

*sigh* I know...

Given the "definitive" answer below received from AJA support, I can only cross my fingers:

You can check with Sony; however we helped a customer running Vegas and they were using v10.4.1 which is our current Windows driver.

Best regards
