Are Switzerland / Italy PAL or NTSC

I'm preparing a vacation DVD for a family with branches in Canada, USA, Switzerland & Italy. Can anyone tell me if Italy & Switzerland are PAL ?

PAL, but they will be able to play the NTSC version unless they have a TV made in the 1980s :)
Avoid standards conversion whenever possible.
