I saw a countdown-clock in one of the posts here, but don't recall where. Is there a countdown-tool in Vegas Pro? (I only own Vegas Platinum 17). Or are there third-party plug-ins which provide this capability? Is this something Vegas Pro's scripting feature supports? Thanks!
There is a way to configure the Timecode FX to run like a countdown (both for Vegas Pro and Movie Studio).

Unsure exactly what you're trying to achieve or if this will work for you, but you can also right click on the timeline, select "Set time at cursor" and set a negative time value at that point, thus giving you a countdown using the Vegas built-in clock display before you reach the start of your project.
I've had to use this method in the past when syncing Vegas via Smpte timecode with an external source to give it pre-roll time to sync up.
