Are there effects envelopes in Vegas?

I've been looking at the LE version of Vegas (from n-track)
and have been trying to find how to put an effects envelope
on a track (I do it easily with Acid Pro). I can't for the
life of me figure out how to put and effect on just one
part of a track and not the whole thing. Is this something
that is available in the upgrade to Vegas Audio?

to get an fx envelope do this:

In the mixer panel add an assignable FX by right clicking
on the mixer area and select "Insert Assignable FX".
Then right click on the track and select "Insert/Remove
Envelope | FX1"

Thanks for the tip. I'm more inclined to upgrade knowing
its available.
