Argh, crashes, help

I have had occasional crashes with VP16. For example when I hit the render button, the software exits. Sometimes in the middle of editing the software freezes. Now however a new issue, freezing during rendering. I have rebooted the computer and made sure there was no other programs running. And the next time I tried, instead of freezing the software just closed up.

The project was about two and half minutes. I was comparing side by side Slog and HLG clips and rendering as HDR.

My system in brief: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz; Win 10; NVIDIA Quadro P2000 3840x2160

Any help here is much appreciated.

I did see the other posts on this and have not tried everything

I may have fixed this. I ran the program "as administrator." I read about that somewhere. No glitches in the rendering this time. I did not change anything else like deactivating the GPU as suggested elsewhere.
