Artifacts appear in the preview window during video playback

Vegas 21, build 108.

During video playback, these artifacts appear in the preview window:

The video itself was recorded on the phone using the AZ Screen Recorder application. I tried changing the bitrate and video quality, but to no avail. I even tried recording the video through other apps, but the result is the same.
However, the artifacts do not appear in the video player, I only see artifacts in the preview window in vegas.
What can I do to solve this problem?

As workaround you could try turning off the hardware decoder in options/preferences/ file io or checking a legacy AVC or experimental HEVC decoder.

What is your GPU model?

It's possible this type of file hasn't been tested in VEGAS- could you make a brief sample available for download?

Also unless there's a reason you're staying on build 108 of 21 I recommend trying 21.208. https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-where-can-i-download-vegas-pro-and-other-vegas-software--104782/

Build 108 is the original build of Vegas Pro 21 - please update to the latest build - 315 - and then let the forum know if the problem is solved or not. Every time that you open Vegas Pro 21, it would normally be 'bugging' you to update to the latest build (there were 5 updates since the original build).

I checked “Enable legacy avc decoding” and the artifacts disappeared. Thank you !!
