artifacts with MPEG Encoding

Hi,

I really like VV 3.0 but when trying to encode MPEG2 files I notice that when playing back the file I see every 2-3 seconds a pulse of artifacts on the screen, it's fairly consistent and appears down the middle of the screen. I don't change any settings when creating the MPEG file. Has anyone else seen this? are there any additional settings I should try?

what are your render settings? Are you seeing these on a DVD or during computer playback?

Hi,

I haven't changed any settings from the standard SVCD NTSC Template. I doesn't seem to be very noticible when played back on the PC. Is there some additional setting for playback as a SVCD on a DVD player? I also tried encoding the AVI with ULEAD VideoFactory and this seemed to work fine on the player.
