...ASCII codes...

Hello everyone,
using DVDA 4.5 and 5.0 ...
Is there a way to place foreign language characters or ASCII codes into the titling?
I'll go over to the Vegas Pro forum and ask the same question of the editor; perhaps the editor function might lead to a solution for DVDA as well...

I did a search and did not find any results for this question.

Just tried it,and it seems to work (at least in the workspace and preview). Simplest thing to do would be to pull up the MS character map and copy the characters from there.

Character Map is, I think, on the Start Menu under Accessories. Alternatively, run charmap.exe or search for Character Map in the Windows help system -- there will be a link to open it.

When you say copy ... do you mean to highlight it and Ctrl-C?
Then paste it in the DVDA title where we want it?
OR
do we need to copy the code and paste that in there ...
I'll play with it when I get home...

Seems easy enough ... I'm not near any DVDA software at the moment; I will certainly try it when I get home this afternoon...

In the Character Map app, you double-click a character you want to use, and it's added to a text box. You can keep adding characters until you've typed out your whole phrase (you can also just use the keyboard to type "normal" characters). Then there is a Copy button in the app to copy whatever's in that text box to the clipboard.

Then you paste it where you want.

I think I've figured out why this topic hasn't come up before...
It's such an easy fix and simple technique, only the most dense users would not be able to figure it out for themselves ... did I just insult myself? LOL

Thanks for the assistance... this topic is in two forums now ... so any other dense Vegas user who comes looking for this solution shouldn't have any trouble finding and figuring it out... (grin)
