aspect ration conversion

Currently i have a file with the specs (1440*1080)(pixel aspect = 1.333)----(field order-=upper) (frame rate=29.970). I need to convert this file to (1280*720p) (pixel apect = 1.78) (frame rate=59.94). I'm noticing that vegas 8 doesn't have any templates with this aspect ration. Nor does is have templates with render options with this aspect ratio. What is the best way to go about converting the file to these new specs as either a .mov or an .avi?
I'd appreciate any help you might offer.
thank you

Try the template "HDV 720-30p (1280x720, 29.970 fps)" for starters and see if the media looks as you expect.

That 1.78 figure sounds like a frame aspect ratio since 720x1.78 = ~1280. If the Pixel Aspect Ratio were 1.78 then the frame would end up being 2278x720 . Very wide!

A Pixel Aspect Ratio refers to the shape of the pixel, not the entire frame. A PAR of anything other than 1.0 is anamorphic.
