associated audio not importing w/ video

Why does the audio from my videos not import with the associated video? I use a kodak playsport camera, imported via USB, and SD card. I also have a Dell/ Windows Vista machine, I know thats my first problem but wtf??

When I drag and drop the raw video into the timeline or trimmer, there is no audio.

I've also downloaded the update, re-installed, and still no luck.

any help????? please!!

it worked!!!!

My raw videos were already .mov files so I changed them to .mp4 files and it worked!

Thanks so much, I was 2 min away from throwing VMS out the window.
