ATI Video Card Specs

I went to the ATI website and checked out the HD-2600 video card and the specs are three pages long. It would be nice to have someone decifer these specs so an older person can understand what the hell they are talking about. I know some of them but I would need a PBS video to explain and show what they are. For $789.00 it must be good.

Or just expensive. None of what's on there will help Vegas along.

For high end 3D apps NVidia Quadra series seems to be the go but again none of that helps Vegs either.

Actually, it's quite good. The Nvidia 8800's were the same price on release.

What are you specifically wondering about? The biggest change I like is "All anti-aliasing features compatible with HDR rendering". No other HDR video card can do AA & HDR at the same time. This one can. Nice. :)

But everything there is mostly to help with 3d apps/games. Except "Integrated compositing engine". Wonder if that could help with video (games do RT compositing after all).
