This is a forum in which users of the Sony Creative Software post questions and answers concerning Sony products to other members. Rarely will forum administrators chime in. If you want a response from Sony, send them an email using the support tab above. That would be your best bet.
If you are looking for answers from those who utilize this forum, you might want to read the post you started asking the same questions a few days back.
Looks like it's time to select Ignore posts by Coonass - your incessant whining only shows you to not be a serious user of Vegas. I use Vegas Pro on both my Dual Core workstation and my single core laptop with ZERO issues.
Vegas Pro works flawlessly for me and the vast majority of users on this forum.
Sorry Coonass, your thread title is a bit misleading...
When I read it I couldn't figure out if it meant "AT SONY TECH SUPPORT", which prompted me to look to see if there was a party or schindig of some sort, or "ATT / SONY TECH SUPPORT", which meant that now we would be hearing commercials about the "New AT&T" or the "New Sony" (all the CES stuff of course...)
...or if you were just not typing it correctly whereas you should have used "ATTN: SONY TECH SUPPORT" and maybe even left a kinder note. You can also use "FAO" which means "For Attention Of", not as common as ATTN:, but it serves the same purpose.
but then again, you created your thread title in large CAPITALS where by today's standards that symbolizes standing up in a room and yelling. I know when someone yells at me it get my attention and makes me want to help them right away...
Buy a ticket to Maddison and try banging your head on the door. Might be more productive than banging your head against tech support.
Someone must be around, there's an email saying they'll be at NAMM but with no update to Acid. Hm, maybe going to NAMM and asking some difficult questions would provoke some kind of response.
Someone from SCS must be accessing this website, they took down the Sony PSA competition sticky.
If these forums happen to have a tech support person coming by, that's great - But as suggested above - get a ticket to Madison and voice your displeasure there.
Of course, you know what you're talking about and the rest of us satisfied Vegas Pro users haven't got a clue.
Coo Nass, <Had to clean it up, it bugged me to be that crass>
You're kidding. You pop in to a group where everyone BUT the person you want to talk to is present, yell out a kind of rude message to the person who isn't there, and tell someone who actually IS there to butt out.
Pathological. Off your meds. Zippiesque.
You may have been a Vegas user since version 1.0 but as far as I can tell you've been a forum contributor for a very short time and your shear rudeness gets you no respect. Claiming to be a veteran ass instead of a newbie ass isn't actually a recommendation.
I can certainly ignore your posts, but that doesn't block your threads if someone responds. Too bad.
s SONY going to keep their word and release Vegas 64 bit
Yes.
Have they missed a release date? Nope. Never gave one. Just sort of said, "here's a sneak peek at something we're working on."
Where's the beta?
Obviously it's not with you, but does that mean it doesn't exist? Beta users are under NDA, so the fact that you don't see posts from beta users here doesn't mean there isn't a beta.
Where's tech support?
Click on "Support" above.
Why do you release softrware like VegasPro8 that is flawed?
What is the flaw that's bothering you? Can't fix something if you don't say what you'd like addressed. As for the general question, software that has some bugs, well, with something as complex as video editing software there will always be bugs (or at least "quirks"). This is not something as simple to code as Notepad. And Notepad even has bugs. Can you please point out ANY software that is completely bug free? I'd like to buy it!
Note: You couldn't even compose a simple sentence without a flaw ("softrware") so perhaps you can understand how difficult it is to get everything right with something a wee bit more difficult.
Anyway, don't worry about my response; I'm sure your kindly worded query will have the support staff stumbling over themselves to give you exactly what you want.
Ya' know "ca", I've thought often about starting my own web site, "Support for drunk internet users" based on an unfortunate bit of my own past. What do you say, would you like to be my poster child (pun intended)?
It appears that due to your attitude, no one is going to help you. This is curious in that this forum is perhaps the most helpful user forum on the Internet. Maybe it's something you said...
Now, how is tech support going to help with a product not yet released? Mightn't the question been better addressed to those in marketing or sales? Or new product development? Am I mistaken in believing that tech support is there for aiding users? So by definition, tech support can't help one with an unreleased product.
